The customer uses the Military Verification block on your cart page or another page you choose.
After verification, the customer is tagged as mc_verified in Shopify. The tag stays with the customer account for future orders.
Your discount platform can target customers tagged mc_verified so the right discount is applied without shareable discount codes.
Military Connect only verifies the customer and applies the mc_verified tag. Your discount rules still live in Shopify or in your preferred discount platform.
This app does not create discount codes or set pricing. It only verifies military status and tags the customer account.
Standard Shopify: create an automatic discount, create a customer segment based on mc_verified, and target that segment. Shopify Plus: target the mc_verified customer tag directly.
Create a promotion, add a customer tag condition, and match mc_verified.
Create an offer, target customer tags, and match mc_verified.
Look for customer targeting, customer segmentation, or customer tag filters and point them to mc_verified.
After discount rules are ready, place the Military Verification app block on the cart page or another location that fits the buying journey.
Once the customer is verified and tagged, they do not need to go through verification again for future qualifying orders.
